“Lifelong Learning Institute, located on the Charlotte Campus, began in 1996 as Learning in Retirement under the auspices of Jack Price, Executive Director of the Charlotte County Foundation, now known as the Charlotte Community Foundation. Some of the initial instructors included Vernon Peeples and Lindsay Williams. Their goal is to foster interest in continuing education among adults, to offer quality classes and programs in a campus atmosphere in the arts, humanities, natural sciences, personal finance and technology as well as providing a variety of educational opportunities outside the classroom , while cooperating with other organizations to support the mission of the program.”

The website offers visually stimulating and imaginative teaching aids that can be used on interactive whiteboards; tips, templates, and teaching guides. Resources are designed to be used as descriptive sources of visually stimulating material, making use of both animations and drag and drop interactivity. The website has valuable information relating to physics, chemistry, biology, investigations, scientific literacy, technology, and VnR Modeling.
